Thats exactly what I did, Put in a small CB. Although now its unused because I didn't much care for a magnet mount on top of the truck. I just mounted the CB bracket to a metal bracket that held the casette deck in place, made sure it was tight and put it all back together. You can tie in to the power from the casette also, so the power wires are already there. As far as a CB antenna goes, they have to have a good ground or the standing wave (SWR) goes to high and will burn up the final transistor in the CB. Plus your radio wont get out very far either. A magnet mount was the only way without drilling a bunch of holes in the body. The other idea I had was to weld a permanent bracket coming out of the back of the truck and putting a 5.5 foot francis pre-tuned antenna on it. That would give you a fantastic ground, no tuning needed, and be essential for amature use. also allowing the antenna to stick up over the trucks roof quite a bit for better recive and output.
