V8 ZR2 Build Help

So I知 getting ready to do the 5.3 swap in my 04 Blazer ZR2.. was wondering what oil pan works, since it is a 4x4. I tried doing a little research and I saw someone sayin the Hummer H2 Oil Pan fits? How true is that...

( I値l be asking more questions as I think of them )
thanks in advance!!

Unsure about the h2 pan, but there are quite a few aftermarket pans made for the swap. They seem to run close to 400$ though

I hope for your sake this isn't your first rodeo! The swap is expensive and can be complicated for a first timer.

I bought a hamburgers performance oil pan off eBay, but summit and Jegs got them, and it fits like a glove, no modification

It sure is my first time. I値l get it done eventually, as far as price goes, I知 in the land of no return so whatever it is, it is :icon_shrug:

thanks! Went ahead and ordered the Hambuger one. There goes $375. The red is so worth the price...

From my research on the subject so far, the best budget option is a modified stock truck cast pan. Have to notch it out and tig weld it back together.

The H2 pan still has clearance issues if I'm not mistaken and isn't just a direct bolt-on.

Just thinking ahead now. Since I値l have to make it get an exhaust made, will it be worth while to keep the cats in or just go straight from the headers back with some sort of muffler? Will this thing pass emissions without them? I highly doubt it but I知 not 100% sure...

Might want to see if its legal to run without cars first... I know where I am, its illegal

It is illegal where I am too but if I could get away with running some sort of O2 Simulator that would be great, instead of trying to use my 300,000mile cats from the 4.3

The truck originally came with cats, it's technically illegal ANYWHERE to run without them, and it'll definitely not pass emissions without them. I believe in some states there's a "so many years old" clause that lets them run without them? Living in Florida where we don't have emissions tests to keep the vehicles registered, I honestly couldn't tell you for sure, but I know it's definitely illegal to knowingly remove them if the vehicle came with them from the factory.
