Hey guys, new to smaller GM vehicles. I used to have an 05 Silverado that was lifted very slightly but i had to get rid of it to save some gas thanks to my commute to work. I traded it for an 04 VW GTI + $ and have been driving that for awhile. Well... i ended up modding that pretty well and decided i need to get a car for winter time.

This is how i got the jimmy... happened to stop by my cousins house to see my godson and in his backyard, i see a teal jimmy just sitting there. I talked to him about it and he stated it needed a fuel pump. Being a factory traided tech and now an automotive product development coordinator, i figured "how hard can it be to fix?"

I made him a very low offer of just above salvage yard prices, picked up a new pump and pickup assembly, and for the price of 625 total, i now have a 147xxx mile, decent running, 4x4.

Plans for it are small (just like my budget). My goal is to build it enough to have fun, but not spend more on the truck than what the sale value is. for most parts i will buy used or fabricate myself.

ive already cranked the keys to be about 3/4" below the rears. next will be new tires and maybe a tow hitch (need some tow point on the rear for offroading.)

Let me know what you guys think.

and apparently i cant spell really

Hey Zach, looks like you got a great deal! $625 for a new vehicle?!? Have fun with fixing it up! The great thing about it is that there are so many interchangeable parts between s10s, Blazers, and Jimmys, from 1995 on up. Keep us posted.

Great start...looking forward to seeing your progress.
