thinking about putting some offroad lights on my hood.......and putting a jerry can on my truck...
ill get out and take some pix tomorrow, and to warthog, yes it does have a swingarm...i was lookin thru all the pix of it and ill be d@mned if theres not a single one with the carrier in it lol |
Where would you mount them on the hood?
|
directly to the hood itself...probly either in the front corners or back corners...((not sure of the legality, but ive seen jeeps with lights at the A-post so must be somewhat legal))
|
Hmm, that would be different.

for wranglers they make hinge brackets to mount lights on.
like so i would think for ours you may be able to rig something up at the hood cowl area or maybe fab a bracket to use on the hinge points themselves |

i think this is what your looking for.
for the hood mount lights....i dont see why not. looks like just angle steel and couple of brackets. i think the bolt to the hing location on the wrangler...i dont see why you couldnt do the same. i would just add a plate of steel to bottom side of hood for reinforcement. now the jerry can i looked at the carrier they make for these...looks like you could extend the bolts on the carrier and bolt it on top of tire. i am not sure of the first gen carrier sizes so i dont know if it would fit to the pass side of the tire or not. hope this helps |
