Macro is a close up shot of an object.

However, I guess it doesn't truly qualify because it doesn't have a set object.
Whatever, I'll need to get a second opinion from Oktain because he's sorta like the Contest mod and my personal body guard. :p

Come on Blazin'! You know what can't allow that here lol.

alright, alright, ill get a better pic, just gotta find one....

macro doesnt have an infinite focus though, i would be ok with it if the crowd was blurred out and just the end of the fender was clear, that would look more macro than the posted shot (and dont get me wrong im not trying to rock the boat, im just saying.)

if you go on flickr and look under macro groups or anything there isnt a single scenery picture, or a shot that shows a whole panel of a vehicle. let alone the whole side.
this is how i would define my best macro shots...

they are as follows:
first is a spider web sprayed with hair spray (small spider less than the size of a dime with all legs out)
second is salt on a glass table or black folder, i forget.
third is the air bubbles beside the glass bubbles inside the glass bubble on part of my bong.... hahaha

i left these out of our contest because i wasnt sure if you meant microscopic macro or just a regular macro i could have shot with my Blackberry. :D

-am i allowed? :P

Edit: is porn allowed? i have the sweetest shot ever of a pierced... ummm well female body part.

Unfortunately while photography forums allow for such posting (typically a glamour/nude model subforum) it isn't allowed here on Blazerforum. I've seen what you can do with a CCD and a lens, I'm sure you won't have to resort to something so "controversial".

EDIT

Here's my submission, taken with my 50mm f/1.8. Played with the curves in CS5 a little bit but that's it.

I'm not 100% on how I framed it though lol.

I was trying to say that by saying it has a set object but no I do agree. You're not "rockin' the boat lol. And those shots are awesome! Did you wanna use one as a submission?
