Do Roller Coasters count as Architecture? lol

sporty_drew Apr 5, 2010 09:10 PM

Nope they don't require any design or engineering :P

Haha I have a few coaster pictures I could use.

C'mon people... where are the entries?

Here's mine. It's got both buildings, & a roller coaster!
New York, New York in Sin City baby!

Looks good... I really like it, and the little stones in the bottom could be pretty dang cool

I've been on top of the real Empire State Building, and I'll dig up pics tomorrow to prove it through submission to this contest.

Yeah, there was a ton of sarcasm in that statement. I would love to design them, just wouldn't want to carry that responsibility lol

Its easier than you think, especially with today's computers. We do most work by hand, and are then introduced to the computer programs after we understand the hand calcs..... Plus think about it this way... engineers could just kinda guesstimate and still get away with it.... Using a Factor of Safety makes things upwards of 2.5-5 times stronger than they need to be for that just in case... We put 3200 pounds in a 2400 pound capacity elevator *(as stupid college kids do)* and it was fine.....

Oh, and nice church...
