Default Carpet Cleaner?

Carpet is most likely one of the dirtiest places in a car. Each time we get in our car, we drag in more dirt and grime. Well, one of my friends spilled a can of root beer on my carpet. I tried to clean car carpet before with another vehicle and it bleached the carpet which I do not want again by cleaning improperly. Wondering what do you guys suggest as the best carpet cleaner.
Looking to buy Mothers carpet & upholstery cleaner from AutoBarn.

Any recommendations?

I've used this before (Turtle wax carpet cleaner). It worked pretty well. No bleaching or anything (I have the dark interior). Do you have the dark interior or the pewter one? I'm not sure it would take all of the stain out of the pewter interior if you do.

good ol' 409 does a surprisingly admirable job. You can even get 'spray 9' if your too cheap for 409...

if its a contained area, use on of those stupid floor robots (spot bot) but only if you/mon&dad/your girlfriend already has one, as it is extremely limited in the areas it can work inside a vehcile.

an Xacto knife removes stains like they were never there in the first place... carpet too...

I use GM upholstery cleaner and it takes pretty well everything out... even gum.

or... USE OXYCLEAN! Been a while since I've been woken up by that at 3 in the morning.
