Default Help! Loose electrical connection...

Hello All,

I just recently replaced the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets on my 99 Chevy Blazer. I have everything back together but I have ran into one problem. On the driver's side under the hood there is an electrical male connection wire that I have stumbled on where to replace it. It's a small blue plug with two prongs on each side in the inside. It doesn't go on any of the air intake ducts, because I have connected all those sensors already. I'm thinking it is a connection for the temperature sensor. When I turn the engine over and have it running, the temperature gauge is not working.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? The wiring harness appears to be long enough to either reach somewhere near the AC compressor/power steering pump or on the other side near the EGR valve.

Where would the female connector for this connector be?

Please help!

-Dale

The temperature sensor is just to the left of the EGR. That may be the one. Otherwise try posting a picture of the connector to show which one it is.

There is a plug hiding on the back of the AC compressor too that you really have to look for unless you know it is there. I will check on the wire colors tomorrow but I'd almost bet that's what it is because it is really hard to see, and if I recall correctly it was a 2 prong connector.
