87 s10 blazer swap

I Baught my 87 s10 blazer from a guy that did a 3.4 swap out of a 95 camaro..it's tbi....it's got a cam..roller rockers..10.1 pistons..700r4 tranny..msd ignition. .remote fans ..remote oil cooler..edelbrok torquer 2 intake..edelbrok headers...there more...but it just doesn't seem like it has enuf get up and go for all that has been done to it...any ideas as to what to look for in making it better...

I've never used one, but I've read some so-so reviews of the torker II manifold. It's a low rise single plane, so it doesn't make much low rpm power, or really that much top end. The Performer RPM seems to be better. With 10.1 compression, I'm guessing a decent sized cam? With an automatic (assuming stock torque converter?) it won't exactly be a good combination. Add in how heavy a blazer is compared to a camaro, and it's shaping up to be a pretty good mismatch.

What gears do you have in the rear end? Tall (numerically lower) gears, and a tight converter will make a dog out of an engine build with parts designed to make power at high rpm.
