95' Blazer Engine Swap

My Blazer's runnin' up on her 300,000 mile mark. The car is in immaculate shape for its age and mileage. The frame has almost no rust and any rust it does have it just surface rust and is posing no structural integrity problems. The body only has one little rust spot on the driver side rocker panel and its about 3 inches long by 1 inch high. The engine has had a knock in it for about 80,000 miles now and with almost 300,000 miles...well unfortunately we all know whats coming :( But the body and frame is in to good of a shape in my opinion to waste at the scrap yard and so i was wondering if anyone has done any engine swaps with this year blazer and what were the results? I've looked everywhere and i read that some people took small 4 cylinder turbo diesel engines and put them in S10's but I can't find any definite answers as to how much work/modifications it took. Basically i want to either drop a Chevy V8 Crate Motor in it or some kind of turbo diesel with minimal modifications. So has anyone done anything like this or similar or am i just crazy??
