96 Blazer Stopped running

HI,

I am new here and not a bod handyman but not great wtih computers so i hope i am posting in the right area.

I have a 96 Blazer, replaced fuel pump, fuel tank and fuel filter 1 year ago, truck has been running great. I had no starting problems, running problems, performance was great, no spitting or sputtering. Then i am driving down the highway and it just died.

It fires up with carb cleaner spray into throttle body, so spark is good, this is an obvious fuel delivery problem. I do not have a fuel pressure gage but when i depress the port where you would attach one with the key in the on positions i get a very small spurt of gas infact i can hardly call it a spurt more like it barly comes out.

I can here the fuel pump when key is engaged, so it is getting power and functioning anyway.

Can a fuel filter just suddenly get that plugged up instantlyand stop it from running, expecially considering it is all only a year old.

As well is it comon if it may be the pump that they just quit with no warning. Last time i replaced the pump i could here it but it was not giving enough pressure, so some time it would start and other times it would not.

Also if the pressure is low at the port where you would hook up a pressure gage would that rule out a pressure regualtor as the port is before the regulator.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated and i that you all in advance for any infor i can get.

Thanks :icon_wink:
