97 Blazer keeps shutting off!

Hello out there! I'm a newbie to this forum, and I have a question about my 97 Blazer LT 4.3L 4X4. Any advice, or experience anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
In the last 4 days, my Blazer has been suddenly "shutting off" (for lack of a better explanation) with no warning whatsoever. This has happened twice today, once last night, and once on Tuesday. Each time this has happened, I have been at highway speed (50 mph+). There is a slight "jerk" and EVERYTHING shuts completely off for just a split second, then comes right back on as if nothing happened. All the whole time, I am still rolling along. However, as soon as it comes back on, all the dash lights go through the initial starting routine. This all happens within a half second's time. Any clue what the devil is going on?
thanks for any advice out there!
Jen

hmmm im not exactly sure but you may have a loose wire or something somewhere that is causing it.

This is almost always caused by a faulty Ignition switch. Not the lock cylinder, but the ELECTRICAL ignition switch.

Oh yea...welcome to the forum.
