ok im looking for a shift kit does a 93 model 700 r4 the same has a 2003 model or is it different if so can anyone tell me where i can look for a shift kit?

didn't know that a 2003 had a 700, thought it was a 4l60E, but i have been wrong before.

Exactly correct. The 700R4, while sharing much of its design concepts with the 4L60E, is not the same as the 4L60E. Your best bet would be to find a shift kit for the 700R4.

is there somewhere i can look up thru my vin number what tranny i have or is there any way i can tell by looking at it?

Am I correct in reading that, the 700R4 was only put on the inline 4's?

dont wanna hi-jack your thread but i had a couple questions. i have a 1991 s-10 blazer with the 4.3l v6. i have a 700r4 in it and its going out. wheres the best place to get a new one? i was thinking about swapping to the th350 but after a new kickdown cable, torque converter, and tranny its about a couple hundred dollars difference and alot of hassel so im trying to swap out to another 700r4 and ill get to keep my OD. whats the best thing to do?
