I'm stock and this last tank was 17.5mpg. Now that was with the A/C off most of the time, just riding with the windows down enjoying the fresh air. The tank before was with the A/C on and an interior temp setting of 74*F (auto climate control) and my mileage was 15.8mpg with the same driving characteristics. That almost 2mpg difference is HUGE with gas prices now.

Time for a tune up maybe? What year is your Blazer? How many miles? When's the last time you changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, fluids, etc.? That will help a little if it hasn't been dome in a while. Just a thought.

It also will be affected if you are in stop and go traffic. I had horrible traffic last week for 2 days and it killed my tank.

Highway Trips make all the diffrence....I get anywhere from the high 17's to low 18's but its bc i do a lot of highway travel and wether or not you have the AC dosen't make a diffrence bc i almost always have Max AC on and i've seen no diffrence when i take it off

mine is a 98 with ~107000 miles

i have never had a tune up and i have no idea if the previous owner did

what does a tune up consist of? should it be done by the mechanic? if so, about how much do they run cause i do not have a lot of money to spend seeing as i am a college kid
