In this engine build I used a gasket in the oil housing and it covered this hole.http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/...99/007-5-1.jpg Upon removing this housing the gasket I installed was sucked into this area and deformed so as to allow the oil to move past the gasket.

This block was not hot tanked.
