fuel gauge not working
 

my second post, 88 w 350, the gas gauge is always on full. It is extra full.
doesnt matter how much i drive it always at extra full. i checked the ground for the tank and it is a very good connection. any tips?

tap the tank...lol they have floats thats how it tells how much gas you have its most likely stuck and just give er a good thump and see if that helps lol it works sometimes

that could do it, there's an unofficial hatch in the bed i can remove the screws and have access to the tank. will i hear it if the float falls?

um not if your hitting it lol

its usually just the sender unit thats bad...they are only about $40 bucks. but you gotta open the tank to get it out.
