Fuel Pump Or Filter?
i drive a 1999 chevy blazer. recently my truck has been trying to start but wont. the first time it happened i had to push the throttle manually from the engine bay. right away it started. within three days i went to start it, buyt it wouldnt start. i checked the throttle body and gas doesnt come out when i try to start it. its been three days and havent been able to start. one guy told me the it might be the throttle body positioning sensor, but im begining to think it might be the fuel filter or worse the fuel pump . can anyone help me??
I just changed my fuel filter on my 98 blazer. My roommate said i should get it done cause i haven't had a tune-up yet and I still have a lot of the original parts on my truck. 95K+ miles. Im not sure how much I can help, but I figured I would offer my advice.

Did you put a fuel pressure guage on it to see if it really is pushing the proper fuel pressure to start the truck. Should be around 54-60psi. Verify those numbers before you test it. Lets say those are the right numbers, and your only pushing 50psi, it wont start, but it will run once its going. Sound familiar.
Plus spark plug gap widens over time. If your plug gap is too big, it wont start. Plus there are a whole host of other things that could be wrong. Since you have 150,000 miles on her, I highly recommend a tune up before you spend money on anything else.

yea, you might try pouring a little gas down the throttle body while turning it over. If it fires up, but doesn't stay running long, you can say it definately has something to do with the fuel...maybe the injectors are clogged.
