L67 Swap in Blazer

Want to swap in a 3.8L Supercharged engine in teh blazer for 2 reasons :

Fuel efficient and Higher stock HP / Torque

the 3.8L are easy to tune / mod for easy 300hp

any kits to get those bolted on a 5 Speed with 4X4 ?

You would need to get the block out of a Camaro so that it would have provisions on the sides for longitudinal mounting.

Camaro's had 3.8L Supercharged engines ?

No, but they had 3.8 V6s that you could "top swap" the blower/heads/etc. to.

No, they were naturally aspirated only.

^^^THIS^^^

What the Camaro 3.8L V6 gets you is a longitudinally mounted block (i.e. a block with bosses on the sides for motor mounts) that can accept the heads on up from the transverse mounted FWD motors found in the Grand Prix & Bonneville L67 motors.

To mate a 3.8L V6 to the 4L60E, you will need to swap the bell housing on your current transmission for a 60 degree V6 bell housing. Taking a bell housing from the same Camaro you pulled the engine block out of would work!

Hmmm... What would be more worth it... 5.3L or 3.8L???

for me i'd love the 3.8L supercharged

Just give me an LS1 and I'll call myself happy. Had one in a '98 Camaro SS and that was the sweetest running engine I've ever had the pleasure to push the skinny pedal on.

And counted in those engines are more than a few big blocks from the '60's/'70's.
