Im 16 and this blazer is my 1st vehicle im gonna lift it 2 inches with 30 inch tires. Then im gonna get a pcm tune by pcmforless. I might cam or bore it whichever one i can do in the least amount of money? What else would help performance wise? I know intake wont i already have cat-back

"cam or bore it whichever one i can do in the least amount of money"

depends on what you can afford. I hate to be that guy but,if moneys a issue forget cams etc. especially since it'll have to be tuned AFTER the cam etc has been done, which will be cam, lifters, possible rocker studs, rock arms,springs....

see where im going? big dollars.

Best thing to do in your case is tune, make sure everything is done tune up wise, and just drive it.

Aah youthful enthusiasm. Dont put 30 Inch tyres on the truck and for Gods sake dont raise the thing. Take what have and rectify its faults, dont add your own.

But lift it still. 75% of us have!

I dunno about lifting and bigger tires a 2wd(assuming by the pic). $.02

Ok but im still gonna lift it. And any other good performance stuff i can do to make it have more horsepower?

Diaita 12-02-2013 04:18 PM

Re-gearing will be the most noticeable upgrade when going to bigger tires, 4.10 say. Cat back exhaust and a tune was the next most noticeable upgrade I did. A cam, and headers would also help the engine as long as you get a good tune for it afterwards.

A CAI or FIPK are both a waste of money in my opinion. A K&N is unnoticeable other than having to clean the MAF a week or so after doing the K&N. Throttle spacers are a waste of money. Performance coils, expensive plugs and wires make no difference.

Ok and ive already did the cat back but will 30s make it sluggish because i have 28s on it now?

newguy 12-03-2013 06:39 AM

Preference i guess, I have a high output coil and 8.8 wires. Definent difference. Quicker starts and low end power
