more throttle response or more acceleration

-are throttle response and acceleration the same? i think they are but ive notcied people using them differently.-

regardless, im curious about getting more. ive read so many articles and such that i now have no idea which direction to go and what would actually work with my vehicle. i was looking into the v8 swap but with gas and all the work, it just isnt worth it for me at this point in time. so then i read about upgrading intake manifold, spacing the injectors, gettting performance injectors, gapping spark plugs a bit more, changing gearing getting rid of tbi and putting a carb on it, shift kit, aftermarket cam etc.

what are some suggestions or things you have done and howd it work out? its a daily driver 1992 s10 4x4 with 4.3l tbi. I am in the process of putting a 50 series delta flow on it otherwise its mechanically stock.

From my point of view, you have acceleration vs top speed. This is changed with the gears.

You can put the first gear to top out higher or lower depending on your needs, and adjust the rest of the gears accordingly.

Then you have throttle response.

Obviously, a 4 door soccer mom SUV isn't a hot rod.

An air intake will probably fix the throttle response issue, but I'm not sure

And this is all just my guess. I have no idea what I'm talking about.

But it sound pretty logical to me.
