radiator replacement
I need to replace my radiator and I have been asked if my radiator has an engine oil cooler or not. I don't know and I can't check right away because the radiator failed out of town. I now have it at a friends house which is out of town. Anyways the question is can I use a radiator with the Engine oil cooler setup if I don't have the Engine oil cooler on my blazer. Someone told me that I can just close that connection. Please let me know if anyone knows this.

RE: radiator replacement
The engine oil cooler will look like a mini radiator. It sits right in front of the radiator. Another way to tell is placement of the oil filter. If it screws into the block, you don't have an EOC. If it screws in down near the radiator, you most likely have the EOC.
The radiator should work if you block off the EOC lines, but I would suggest physical comparison. |
RE: radiator replacement
i dont know what difference it makes...if the filter is just inside the hood on the drivers side, (remote filter), i would say you do...but if the blazers have a seperate oil cooler, i dont know why it would matter...
