Spark Plug Help

I want to upgrade my spark plugs. I found a set of 6 NGK Iridium IX Spark plugs for my 2000 Blazer for $44 with shipping. Is it worth it? Will it do anything to get better milage? Thanks

Thats a pretty decent deal, I would go with it. You wont get any better GPM but you may see a slight increase in throttle response and performance...but then again you may not it depends on how your previous plugs look. I think the only thing you will gain from these plugs is the confidence of long lasting spark plugs that give off a good solid spark. But remember, the purpose of a spark plug is the same, to create a sufficient spark to ignite the gasses in the chamber.

I agree with nofear17bmx, you can only gain back lost performance/efficiency. If your old plugs were shot, you may have been down on power.

I am switching my Bonneville over to the NGK Iridium IX plugs and would do the Bravada as well if I had not of just replaced them with AC Delco double platinums when I bought it...

Unless you got the platinum tipped ground electrode, the life expectancy of these plugs is around 35-40k miles. The double platinum or the platinum tipped ground iridium center plugs are upwords of 75-80k miles. The iridium plugs will have a more consistent spark over their life than a platinum or double platinum.
