what is the maximum torque that a '91 4.3L blazer's tranny will handle?

If oyu rebuild the tranny, 450ft pounds of torque is the maximum. Same as a fullsize truck tranny. If your talking the stock tranny in your truck, about 300-325ft pounds torque. This is the same tranny used behind sbc V8 engines, just in that applicaiton they have a few more clutch plates, and maybe a few different hard parts.

not to mention different torque convertors......those convertors have a lot to do with how much torque the tranny can take.
