Exclamation V8 Swap suggestions

Looking to do a V8 engine swap with my 2005 Chev Blazer 4X4. Its got 2.5" lift now with 33's. 5 speed manual trans. What engines work the best 5.3, 6.0? Does the 6.0L bolt right up to my trans? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

In a perfect world id like to put the 6.0L in there with minimal costs other than new motor mounts.

THANKS!

Even if you can get it to bolt up I really don't think it will handle the torque of a V8 very long.

There is no perfect world. By the time you complete the process you will have thousands invested.
My toy in my avatar, At no out of pocket cost I had almost everything involved in building her and I still have over five grand invested

Yup you should start reading everything you can find! Motor mounts, trans spacer/adapter, oil pan, wire harness, headers /complete exhaust, computer tune, cooling system, cost of the motor these are all things that will cost you. Sure you may find a cheap motor and think your good but generally the motor does end up being the cheap part of the swap so I'd say give up on the cheap dream and spend 6-9 months googling everyday and reading every result you get and then re decide if it's something you really want to attempt or just start it now and end up with an unfinished abandoned project because you got in over your head. This isn't me trying to be rude but I've spent at least two years reading and planning a 5.3 swap including buying the motor and I'm still undecided if I'm actually going to run the motor I have or not! In all of my reading I cannot count the amount of dead end threads because of lack of planning turning into running out of money, interest or knowledge. Do yourself a favor and read please.

I`m in the middle of this COMP Cams Magnum Hydraulic Roller Camshafts 56-440-8 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing with new springs and lifters, and headers and then a computer flash. I`ve been told the 4.3 will be around 240 horse and more torque. and cheaper in the long run
