See the attached diagram. The HVAC line also connects to the vacuum reservoir and the 4wd system (if equiped). For the vacuum schematic for the 4wd, run a search or look in the NV233 threads found in the Tech Article (DIY) section.

I must be missing a fitting somewhere. On my 95 vinW, it goes from the reservoir to a small T fitting then to the engine. I have what looks like a 7/32" vacuum hose just hanging. I have no idea where it goes. Am I missing a T fitting Somewhere? Could this be a contributing factor to my EGR problems?

Your EGR valve should be fully electronic so a vacuum leak should not affect its operation.

The HVAC line goes from the intake to a t-fitting which incorporates a check valve into the fitting. The line from the intake should connect to the one port side of the fitting. The reservoir should be on the other side along with the line that goes into the firewall. If your truck is 4wd, then there will be a second t-fitting that will be in the line after the check valve. It can be on either the reservoir line or on the line to the firewall.
