00 Blazer Engine Swap into a 98 Blazer question
 

I'm new to the blazer community. I have a 98 blazer 4x4 that I bought used and it has gave me nothing but headaches. First I replaced the water pump, then the heater core, then the thermostat, then the upper intake manifold, and now the engine is knocking. I have a 00 engine lined up with 120,000 miles on it for $300, but am not sure if everything is the same between them or if I need to transfer parts or electrical. I did try to do a search on here, but had no luck finding the answers. So here are my questions....

Will a 00 4.3L work in my 98' Blazer?

Is there any differences between the 00 and 98 4.3L engines?

Do I need to swap anything between the engine?

They are identical.
