03 trans in a 97?
 

I have a guy telling me he has a 97 with an 03 trans. (4l60e's) I didnt think that was possible. I thought 96-97 had there own trans? He wants to sell me the truck, and Im trying to get a read on him, and see if he knows what he's talking about, so the statement has me a tad baffled. I havent seen the truck, (so, no I havent looked at the tranny) but have heard from others, that its beautiful, and without a scratch or spec of dirt.

Any thoughts you guys might have, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. h
