1984 Chevrolet K5 Blazer

I have a K5 Blazer 4x4 V8 305ci. Heres the problem. I stopped at a stop sign an started to move forward. There was a bang and I no longer was able to move anywhere. It wouldnt even lock into park. If I put it in park with the engine running, theres a grinding/whining noise and then the noise stops. I dropped the transmission (350 Turbo) and the transfer case (New Process 208) but when I try to manually turn the output shaft on the tranny, its locked in place like its in park. I also took apart the transfer case and the chain looks in good shape. I also tried the rear differential and its fine as well. So I am completely stumped. Any ideas?

since you have that trans out, wouldnt hurt to just get it rebuilt, last time i had mine done a few years ago it was like 400 bucks. but its hard to tell without looking at it if you broke your trans or transfercase. also try turning the transmission both ways, it usually turns easier one way then the other for some reason
