1994 Blazer with idle troubles...

1994 Chevy Blazer 4.3L 2WD V6

Yesterday we changed the plugs & wires on my Blazer because it had a slight miss... Plugs were ugly with black soot on them... This morning the Blazer is sputtering & cutting out on acceleration & idles rough & reeks of gas... We just checked the distributor cap & rotor & found nothing wrong there... I had NAPA run and OBD1... It showed only code 12 which they say means all is fine... I've checked & re-checked all wires & plugs for tightness... Checked the firing order & it is right... I can't find any obvious reason why the sudden change... If anyone has any ideas they will be greatly appreciated since this is my only mode of transportation & it is costing me work... Bear in mind, this vehicle was not in tip-top running order to begin with, but it didn't seem to run bad...

<--- That's all I needed to know it's running rich. But why? I'm not too familiar with '94's, O2 sensors, MAF if they have them. But it's running rich for some reason. Missing a vacuum line or have one disconnected? Clogged cat would make it hessitate & have low power as well as the gas smell & rotten smell out the pipe.

Hopefully others (that are more in tune with 94's) will chime in soon.
In the meantime try searching for something like "1994 running rich" "1994 sputtering" etc, change up the wording & read on. Good luck, but I'm sure the answer is here.
