Hi

I was wondering if I flush out the dex cool coolant and can use regular antifreeze in it .My t-stat is sticking closed and Im told that the dex cool is the one causeing the problem . So can I run regular antifeeze in it with out harming my cooling system in my truck . My gage is going to the 3/4 mark on my gage . It did'nt do that the day before . I only had the truck like two days or so I got it used . I think its due for a cooling system flush and new t-stat . Im getting a squeaking sound then the engine is cold ,but after it warms up its gone .I may need a new belt or a water pump . How can you tell if the pump is worn out after the belt is off .
