Default 1998 blazer can't get the check engine light off

I have a 98 blazer 2 wheel drive and my check engine light stays on. I replaced the transmission and put a 96 tranny in it. It runs fine but the code is the tcc solenoid. I replaced both but its still the only code popping up. Any ideas on what might be going on?

electric differences. the 96 wasn't a exact drop in for you. 96-97 is a 2 year deal, and 98-99 is too. I dont remember whats exactly different.

Is your overdrive(4th) working? if so,i wouldnt worry about it. If not,you are going to have 3 gears, and the trans will run hotter. Id advise you to install a tranny cooler.

It isn't working. Everything works fine except that it won't go into overdrive and the tranny isn't running hot. I just need to get the tcc code off. Its out of inspection and I can't get it inspected with the check engine light on.
