Default 1998 LT 4wheel drive problem

Hi all,
Have posted in the new members section but have been advised this section would be better.
I have a 1998 right hand drive Chevrolet Blazer LT, on the dash I have a warning light saying "service 4 WD" turn the ignition on and the lights flash on for the drive switches, but it is not possible to select any drives and is in 2 wheel drive,
I have taken the module out from the footwell and checked all the connections are good and they are.

I don't have a Chevrolet dealer that can test for fault codes as I live in the U.K. and the American vehicle specialist have quoted me £150 to do a fault diagnoses.

Any advise please. Thanks Tony
