1999 Blazer, 4x4, Auto Cooked 4L60E...

Hey Everyone,

I have a 1999 Blazer, 4x4, Auto, 169k and I burned out the 4L60E on a long uphill climb. The radiator was already a mess and I should have replaced it... lesson learned.

I will be replacing the old radiator with a new ... anyone else done this?

As for the transmission... I will have to rebuild it myself. All the used ones I've found are old and I don't know how many miles they have. My tail end can't handle the spanking from a rebuild or have someone rebuild it, so I'll be doing it myself. I rebuilt a Ford C-6 a few decades ago, so this can't be that bad. Does anyone have .pdf copy of a 4L60E rebuild manual?

I am using the following parts and kits, and would appreciate any advice.

AND... while I am at it...

Any thoughts regarding a torque converter? Mine is 23 years old. SO put the old one back in? Put an OEM - Sock Aftermarket? Or do I change up and put a performance TC? I go semi-rough off-road driving. A little wild, but not the Rubicon, and I need to be able to tow a boat.
