Default 2000 4x4 2 dr Code P0758

So I am new to the forum but have read information on a lot of other message boards. I have a 2000 4x4 2 dr and just recently began having problems. My heater core went out in Jan and I have had that replaced. Then in March, the reactor tube assembly was replaced due to hoses and pinched tubing. Just recently, I have had the issue of it not wanting to drive in anything but 2nd and 3rd gear. I still have reverse, but when the engine light came on, I immediately checked the code and it said P0758 Solenoid Electrical B. I read some postings about it possibly being the ignition switch. Starting small, I just replaced it and I am still getting the same error code. I don't want to have to do a tranny overhaul. I maintain the Blazer very well, but don't want to have to pay out an extreme amount of money. Please help if you have any other ideas on electrical issues that might be contributing to this! I miss driving!

How good are you at understanding the operation of an automatic transmission? They are not the easiest things to work on and quite a bit can be screwed up without even knowing it.

Have you recently had any transmission work done that may have damaged the wiring harness inside the transmission? Have you inspected the wiring connection on the side of the transmission for corrosion or the harness for damage?
