2000 Chevy Blazer 4X4

I've been having an issue with acceleration mostly in reverse but it has happened in drive as well. The issue is that when I press the gas the blazer doesn't move. It revs up but stays in place. What is weird to me is that as soon as I let off the gas the blazer will move in the direction I intended the vehicle to move. This only happens after starting up the truck. Once I come out of reverse and into drive if it doesn't do it in drive I don't have a problem again until after I let the blazer sit turned off for a while.

Things to factor:
'Check Engine' light is on (I haven't hooked up the truck for readings)
New spark plugs and plug wires
This does seem to only happen on a incline now matter the degree.
