well a P0101 is a MAF performance code, and im on a dealer only sight where you can look up previous 'hits' on a certain problem and over 30 with a P0101 code was the MAF sensor needing to be replaces. However if you think it is the MAP, replace that seeing as it about 1/2 the price of a new MAF

have you done anything to have damaged it in any way? maybe the sensor is dirty you try cleaning it?

I've cleaned the screen and wire with electrical cleaner..when I go off-roading, my air filter gets wet and muddy. I'm going to check more indepth on my MAP sensor on Friday, and I will post updates as this diagnosis continues, incase anyone else has come accross this issue.

My MAF went bad on mine last winter. It would lose power after about 3,000 RPM when the throttle was more than 50% pressed and it reacted similar to yours. Ran good if I didn't hammer down on it though. Ran great with the MAF unplugged but shifted hard as hell with it unplugged. I bought a $20 MAF from a junkyard and all was well. These use the same MAF's found in quite a few other GM vehicles as well.

Good luck.

60 psi, key on/engine off today. Next week, I'll try a new fuel filter (replaced in April).

Also, had some more indepth readings of my MAP today, replaced the MAP sensor with a known good sensor from our training engines(2000 4.3 Safari trainer) and still experiencing problems with bogging and excessive fuel trim being added. I may try to swap the MAF next Friday from the trainer 4.3, and attempt my WOT. See if that changes anything. No codes present still.

You have to take the MAF apart to clean it the right way. Just incase you arent sure, here: https://blazerforum.com/forum/tech-a...leaning-40420/

OSS have you figured out your issues with WOT yet? I have a 2000 blazer i just had the trans rebuilt in it, this weekend i did intake manifold gaskets, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. I am haveing the exact same problem you posted in your video and cant seem to figure out what it is any help would be appreciated. I did check cam retard with my solus pro and i am sitting at -8 degrees. I cant find any speck on what cam degree should be using the scan tool. I read and hear conflicting reports that it should be 0 degrees but when i cross referenced it with a 1997 blazer my buddie has his was sitting at -9 degrees. I also check before the cat and after the cat using a temp gun. I have a 100 degree diference from front to back and back being a higher temp than the front. I have ohmed out the coil pack as referenced to my buddies blazer and i have swapped his ICM with mine and still the same result as in your video. I am wondering if your MAP or MAF was changed and if that corrected the problem or if you have found anything else out. Any help from anyone at his point would be greatly appreciated as i am trying to get his car in good driveability state for my mother.

Thanks again
Shwagiedo

I replaced the MAP with a known good one, no change.

I did an exhaust restriction test (my cross pipe is bent from 4x4ing) and the guage shows no restriction.. And I have an ebay intake system, to answer a previous question. MAF unplugged, it shifts hard as hell, as well as Longer02's.

Still haven't been able to figure this one out boys.

OSS,

I have a 2001 and have been having the same problem as you and shwagiedo. A friend at work suggested it may be a plugged cat and he told me to remove the EGR and plug the suction side and if it runs better the cat is clogged. Well I tried that and it still boggs down bad. I sure hope you or someone comes up with an answer to this problem cause the wife wants her Blazer back.
