Default 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada Transmission to 2000 Blazer LT

Hi All,

I am a new poster here, as I recently purchased a 2000 Blazer LT with the 4 button transfer case control (Auto 4WD + 2HI + 4HI + 4LO). It is an automatic transmission (4L60E) 4WD. This is my first Chevrolet.

I knew the transmission was bad when purchasing (and confirmed it was bad after purchase), so I got it with 92k miles for a really good price.

I found a transmission from a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada for a great price, good fluid quality, clean pan etc.

The back of the donor transmission is a 5 bolt pattern for the transfer case (transfer case not included in the purchase). Picture is included of the donor.

I plan to use the Bravada transmission, and the original Blazer transfer case. I tried looking under the car today, but it is hard to tell if the current transfer case in the Blazer is also a 5 bolt-hole design, but I am fairly confident it is, as my research suggests Blazers from this time had the 5-bolt transfer cases.

The critical question is : Will the 2000 Bravada donor transmission and 2000 Blazer transfer case work together in the 2000 Blazer?

If not, there still seems to be other options out there of 98-2000 Blazer transmissions that could work. I plan to do the swap this weekend, as I have a 4 day-weekend.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any help you can give me. I will try to get back to any replies as soon as I can.

-Ryan

Can't use the Olds AWD transfer case in the Blazer. Incompatible controls and electronics. Olds Trans should be fine AFAIK.

Thank you for getting back to me!

Was not planning on using the Olds transfer case, the blazer transfer case is in great shape. I will update when I complete the swap.
