2000 secondary air injetion hose routing
 

Hi guys, I just bought my 00 4.3 and while I JUST noticed that hose was sliced, and I didnt notice it before. Ive been doing a lot of searching and I guess this is part of the air injection system.

The pump is located under the car, right behind the front bumper on the passenger side. Now, as you know, there are two ~1 in. dia. hose coming out of the pump and leading to one exhaust mani each. Those are hooked up, but the one thats sliced seems to run underneath the fan shroud, go up it on the pass side and it was sliced halfway up. Im almost positive this is supposed to go on the intake mani somewhere but I cant find any port that tell me its supposed to go there.

The weird thing is that Ive been reading I shoud get a CEL code since its obviously not working at the moment, but Im not getting any code!! Strange. The truck runs mint also.

Does anybody know where this hose specifically goes on the 4.3 Vortec? Id appreciate the help.

If I remember correctly that's the way it's designed. It collects fresh air to pump into the exhaust system.
