2002 Chevy Blazer noise coming from beneath car
 

Hi I am new to the forums, I have a 2002 Chevy Blazer 4 door, 4x4 with 4.3L Vortec V6. I have had it for 1 year and I bought it from large Chevrolet dealership with 91K miles on it. It currently has 114K on it. I runs very well and there is no loss of power or any warning lights, it does need some suspension work, a new pitman arm and idler arm which I will have done as soon as I can.

I can hear a noise while sitting in the car after the car has been running for a while. When I hit the accelerator it makes this noise whether the vehicle is in motion or parked. It sounds like it might be coming from the fuel tank but it isn't the buzzing noise that the fuel pump makes, and it doesn't sound like a rattling catalytic converter. I had the fuel pump replaced back in August but not the fuel filter, it had went out was the reason for replacing, the noise was there before the fuel pump has went out, and is still here. Just trying to find out some info on what it could be before taking it to a shop to have it looked at. I just had left front lower ball joint replaced and a wheel stud replaced.

Sounds like an exhaust rattle.

My 95 makes the same noise i crawled underneatha smacked the cat, something is loose in there. I just found this today

Thanks for the tips guys, I have been able to hear the exhaust but I didn't think this noise came from it. I will have it looked at around tax time.
