2002 v6 blazer won't start

I recently replaced the intake gasket on my 2002 v6 . after install truck started up and ran fine. Now truck won't start. It turns over and pops out the exhaust. I checked timing, I replaced coil, I get fire to the plugs although the spark I get from the coil is yellow not blue, is this normal? I get the smell of gas when I try to turn it over. I have been working with this for a long time now and am out of ideas. Any help would be great.

Pull the coil wire from the distributor cap: Spark from ignition coil to ground should easily jump half an inch and be blue, while cranking. An orange spark indicates a weak spark. If you've replaced the ignition coil, the coil wire may have excessive resistance and need replacement, (along with the plug wires).

thank for your help captain hook. I will give that a try. Will that keep it from firing and cause it to pop out the tail pipe?

Yup. And so will a faulty distributor cap & rotor, (use AC Delco only BTW).
