2004 Blazer leaking from middle
 

Not sure if I'm doing this correctly, but here goes... I just noticed that I have a leak under the middle of my 2004 Blazer. It can't be coolant because there's no color to the leak and it's not oil so it must be water. I've had the Service Engine light come on and off and the Check Oil light as well. The cap on my gas tank doesn't always fit properly and I've been told that if air gets into the gas tank it triggers the Service Engine light to come on. It's the leak that concerns me. Is it normal in lower temperatures to have a slight leak after turning off the engine?

Have you gone down there and checked what the fluid smells like? Also, if your check engine light is still on go to an auto parts store and borrow their code reader and check the code then post back here. Most auto shops will lend the reader to you for free if you're checking in the parking lot.

thank you. I did smell the fluid and it had no odor at all. I'm going to an auto parts store and have no idea how to check the code. Can you tell me what I need to know to do this?

Just ask them to read your 'service engine' light and report back to us with the code numbers they give you (if any).

If the clear fluid is showing up to the rear of the passenger front tire, and if you have been using the defroster, it is normal condensation from the HVAC system.
