2K Blazer - Shifter on column goes through all gear, trans still in park...
 

First question on the forum for me, though I've searched the forums for the solution to ALL the standard 2nd Gen S-Blazer problems.

Started the Blazer up, pulled the column shifter into reverse and nothing happened. In fact, the shifter slides smoothly through all gears like it's actually not connected to anything at all. The digital indicator on the dash shows it in PRND2L as I go through each gear, so I take that as some sort of positive electronics sign...

Is it as simple as a cable/linkage that I can re-attach on either end? Or is there something electronic in the mix that I'll have to troubleshoot?
