2x4 and 4x4 trans the same?

This is probably a dumbass question but is the tranny from a 99 blazer 4x4 interchangeble with a 94, 2 wheel drive S10? :icon_shrug:

Found a parts blazer with a rebuilt tranny and a friend has a s10 with bad trans...

nope its not 4x4 trans has a transfer case and 2wd trans dosnt have a tc

lol john thats kinda obvious. :P

The main shafts that run through the trannys are different. 4x4 model is longer. you'd have to rip apart the whole trans and swap it out.
