4.3 engine into suburban

will a 4.3 engine fit into a Suburban? will putting 4.3 in, give my Suburban more miles per gallon? Also i got a 2.8 engine if i put that in my 95 Blazer how may miles will i get in 95 Blazer?

you could probably get it to fit if you took some parts from a silverado.
i see what you are getting at but no, you will probably get worse mpg.
the 4.3 is very underpowered and will have to work harder to get the suburban up to speed and to start off with on a good day it gets what...12-14mpg highway in the blazer?
here is the silverado that comes with both the 4.3L v6 and the 4.8l V8
compare the same drive line in both engines, the spec is within 1mpg rating.
in experience with the bigger vehicles, they tend to get better highway mpg with the bigger engines despite the rating.

i chose the silverado because it has both engine options factory so you can compare to what the suburban would get.

so for what mpg the blazer would get with the smaller engine, isnt that a stock engine size from the s10? look up the mpg the s10 gets with that engine.

Hi my dad had a full size chevy van with a 4.3.
Way under powered most hills where 2nd gear.
mileage on a flat road was ok but in the long run.
Keep your V8, tune it up. don't drive with a lead foot. That makes the most difference in mileage.
