4 wheel drive?
i went mudding yesterday in my blazer and clicked in my 4 hi button and the light came on and i could hear the clicking sound assuming it was in 4 hi i took off driving... well i got stuck and i opened my door to see how deep i was and tried to drive... back wheels spinning and front was not even tryin to move...what could this be.. ?
Was the the right-front tire spinning?
im not sure to be honest i was on the drivers side driving lol... what would the problem be if it was spinning and the other left was not ...or vise verse if it was not spinning at all
Could be that the actuator at the front axle is not engaging. Jack up the rear end (just need one tire off ground if no spool or locker) put it in 4wd and try to drive off the jack.

I may be off in left field here, but isn't there a front differential that would allow one tire to spin while the other is stuck? Just like in the rear?
There are two possibilities here. 1- A problem with the front axle engagement. 2- that the OP did not see if the passenger side front tire was spinning.
It is true that an open diff will send power to which ever tire has the least resistance so you are not out in left field herskal. We just need to get clarification as to what is actually happening. |
like i said lol i was driving and im not in great Britain my steering wheel is on the left side.. but still i dont think its engaging in the front.. i was under it the other day putting a new starter on and noticed that some of the four wheel drive stuff still had stickers on so i guess the guy before me started replacing stuff to fix it.. (i guess or maybe just wanted to waste money). Anyways ill have to get it looked at before winter so i got plenty of time
