Question 4L60E or 4L65E

Hoy fellow Blazer owners, 75,000 miles are rolling up and it's time to do an oil & filter change on my '01. Doing a little research, I'm finding both the 4L60E and 4L65E transmissions were used. Question being, did the change to the 4L65E happen for the 2000 or 2001 model year.

Also the PO was telling me about a servo upgrade for 1-2. Any other info for these trannys will help before I pull the pan. These trans are uncharted territory for me.

I don't think the 4L65-E was ever in a Blazer. Here's the info on the two transmissions from Wikipedia (for what it's worth).

the 4l65-e wasnt in any blazers that I know of. Its basically a slightly beefed up 4l60-e. You can make sure of this by crawling under and looking around the bell housing and the rest of the tranny it should be printed and like stamped in somewhere. For the filter change you will mostly just need to figure out if you have a shallow pan or a deep pan.

That's what I found on the web, and I thought the only trans for the S series trucks was the 4L60E.

Anyone do the Corvette servo upgrade for the 4L60E?

Using the 'search' function for 'corvette servo' gives plenty of hits. Try this thread.
