4l60e to 700r4 swap... no 4low?
Ok, I swapped out a junk 4l and replaced it with a good 700r4 out of a 87' suburban. Everything works but can not get the t-case into 4 low.. I assume its the neutral safety switch? does anyone know what wires to jump or any other way to get it in low range?
I could swap out the case but i kinda wanna keep the push button.:icon_shrug: |
If you don't have a Park/Neutral, how did you get the engine to start? Don't forget about Reverse as well.
You can fab something up with micro switches, or just buy a floor mount shifter instead that will have the required switches and wiring. Or find the necessary column switches off an older Blazer. Anything that came column shift and with a 700r4 should have what you need. Or at least give you an idea. |
A buddy of mine jumped some wires to get it started(computer thinks its always in park) I tried to find neutral but was unable... must need to jump more than 2 wires!?! After looking this weekend i think i might yank the 233 and go with a 241 that i have laying around. I might throw my 205 behind that and make a doubler... but idk, thats alot of work.
