4l60E Torque Converter removal?

Ok,
I've pulled tons of automatics in my years and half the time the converter tries to fall out during tranny removal if the jack tilts a little.
Anyway, I got the tranny out and the torque converter won't simply slide off as every TC I have ever touched. I can rock it side to side and spin it but it won't simply slide off. Is this common with the 4L60E's ?

Edit to add:
Got it off, took two screwdrivers and some work but it finally popped off. Was stuck good for some reason. When it's light outside I'll check it out more.

It might be fine. Front pump bushing could probably need replacing. How does the Tc snout look? marred up? Are you rebuilding it? Remember pull the Tcc lock up selenoid before pulling pump! I never have torque converters stick unless the unit has been junked!

I think the oring on the snout of the input shaft glued itself inside the converter. I;m having a hard time figuring out this tranny. We ordered a rebuild kit (Pro-King) and they said we needed a KS-112 for a 1997 and that it would have a step down pan. The truck was built 08/1996 and does not have the step down pan which means the kit we might have needed was a KS-69. The KS-69 is for the 1996 year and the KS-112 is 1997, but they said this one would have a step down pan. The tranny decodes as a 1997 model :
7TAD, 24201579
4L60-E, 4x4
Bell = 24206597, No dust cover
Case = 24200873, NSS threads, Linkage lugs
Adapter = 15963696
Valve body = 4203537
Cheese plate = PX
5 Solenoids [8128]
Pump body = 24201073, PWM
Stator support = 24204705
Input pilot

From what I can figure the kits should be the same but I dunno, I thought Ford parts were a PITA.
I'm trying to find the torque converter but the code tag is missing off the converter. I found a piece of plastic sticker-tag stuck in the goo inside the back of the engine near the rear main seal but it has nothing of use on it.

Anyone got a good idea about what kit/torque converter is correct?

Think everything is sorted out..... I got the tranny torn down. There is a plastic bushing of some sort inside the pump that goes against the rotor for the 13 vane pump. It melted and glued onto the torque converter. The rest of the guts of the tranny look good, though I am surprised as I figured it would be wasted. The only damage so far is the converter and the plastic bushing in the pump. The seperator plate in the valve body has worn check ball holes also. Ordering all the parts tomorrow, hope this all works out :)
