detrimental to the vehicle or occupants.
Shifting can be performed with the vehicle rolling 2-3
mph (3-5 km/h) or completely stopped.

The 1991 - 1994 with the electric NV233 with dash electrical switch are the same.

BTW:
Switching the HI-LO range should be accomplished only with the transmission in NEUTRAL.

TCCM will sense it and flash or do nothing.
The thing is that I can hear the 4lo tries to engage but then returns to the 4hi in a few seconds.
This is in neutral

Can you give us the vehicle information?

As I described is the preferred method for either NP233 or NP236. Also included here is a tip if it is a NP233 (3-button) and won't go into 4lo.
