Question 93 Blazer

I'm looking at a 93 4.3 Vortec Blazer I want to buy but I have a problem. When you start it up it will run for about 10 seconds and then shut down. Also the fuel pressure is between 80 and 90. I think it might be a bad FPR or possibly a kink in a fuel line. What do you guys think before I buy it and I'm wrong.

I'd first check for a kinked/blocked line first...

80-90psi...? That is way high...

What does the fuel pressure do after you get the engine to run?

How well does it crank and how does it run for the ten seconds? If itll run that long should be getting fuel. In my experience with kinked lines they choke when u rev then die.

I spoke with the guy this evening and he tells me that the fuel pressure is at 89 and that it stays at 89 after it dies out. He also says that when the key is turned it starts right up and runs fine for like 10 seconds. He seems to believe that it's an electrical problem and not a fuel problem. Also I'm told that it's getting no RPM when it run or when it dies. I'm not sure whats going on with this thing but all I know is that the thing is in graet shape with a panels and fenders replaced. If anybody can help out with this vague information let me know. Thanks
